Back Catalogue

Posted by: Caroline on: January 30, 2008

Just a quick post while the kettle boils. I’m at home, full of yuck and sick of being unwell. And it’s such a nice day outside! My brain feels like it is floating in tar – everytime I move it bangs against the walls and everything shifts and makes me dizzy. God, I hate colds. Why don’t they hurry up and find a cure???

Jess never quite managed to remember to bring me her camera. This is why there have been no outfit posts of late. Also, Christina did lend me hers at the weekend, but I have yet to find a card reader. When I do I’ll do a “what I wore this week” post, I promise.

But for now, I thought I’d share some pics from my back-catalogue with you.

Firstly, there’s the outfit I wore on the day I left Newcastle to go home for some tlc after D-Day (dumping day, in this case) – obviously not a day I ever got round to posting about, but one I did have a picture of.

Bad Taste Skirt

Skirt: Charity shop (50p bad taste rail, which is surprising as it is a very full lined 70s printed velvet with gorgeous golden birds in the print – just beautiful!)
Black Top: H&M
Green Lurex Cardi: Topshop
Belt: Topshop

Secondly, this is a men’s shirt I picked up in a charity shop the other week and listed on ebay, but now I’m wondering whether to keep it! The biggest problem is just how much it looks like one I had and wore constantly to “Youth Club” in the mid 90s – just take away the belt and tucky it into more straight-cut jeans, give me a bob with a hair-brush curled fringe a la early Friends and I’ve stepped right back in time!

Lumberjack Shirt

Finally, some pics I meant to put up ages ago showing a fabulously bright plaid skirt and very cute 80s jacket available in my ebay shop, Gilded Follies. Both are size 12 and in good vintage nick.

Plaid Skirt Black Jacket

The second is this lovely cropped jacket that is clearly a rip-off Chanel.

Non-Chanel Jacket

As with most of my ebay sales, I wish they’d fit me!

Now I’m going back to my nice warm bed with a mug of steaming lemsip!

That skirt is fabulous, can’t go wrong for 50p!
Hope you feel better soon, colds are the worst. Keep warm and eat and drink plenty.
