Second Hand Shopper

Into Edinburgh

Posted by: Caroline on: February 9, 2008

A couple of weekends ago I mentioned I was off to Edinburgh to visit the lovely Christina and Neel. And I did! I had a lovely weekend, and as promised, did some charity shopping and ventured into Armstrongs. My camera was broken at the time (still is actually!) but Christina let me take some pics on her phone, so here they are!

Most are just generic scenery shots, but two skirts in particular made me wish I was a skinny minnie! One was an unusual 60s black tasselled mini skirt in suede, the other a near-perfect, black, vintage, leather skater skirt. Neither came up too well in the pics but both were lovely specimens and very reasonable priced within the teens!

I bought myself a pretty purple clutch bag – not vintage but a beautiful colour. And while charity shopping I was also lucky enough to snaffle up a new Monsoon dress with tags still attached. The bold floral pattern sits on a base that shows aspects of ombre. It’s a bit big around the waist on me, so will be on ebay, but a very flattering cut!
