Saturday slob

One of the problems with being a busy type is the feeling of never having enough time to relax. I can’t remember the last time I had a Saturday afternoon when I did absolutely nothing, when I slobbed out on the sofa under a blanket and watched dvds. Until today…

This morning we had a sew make believe alterations/sit ‘n’ sew morning – tea, muffins, chatter and help with those items of clothing that didn’t quite fit right. Unfortunately, we came to the conclusion that the dress I was trying to fit was just very badly made, so it’s going to be a proper hacking up and re-making job if I want any wear out of it!

Then Kate, Lauren and I had an admin meeting, which went well, and by 3pm I was curled up on the couch with a cuppa and crap Saturday afternoon TV to keep me company. Good times!

What did you do with your Saturday?

  1. Well we had to clean the kitchen and do the clothes washing then we ventured out to buy compressed air and check out UPVC cladding to repair the hole that has appeared in our extension. Ellis ran amok in Office World and had to be restrained. We grabbed some food then spent a while sitting in the lovely city traffic breathing diesel. I’m currently listening to Coventry play Plymouth on the radio. Later, Ellis is being looked after by his grandparents and Sarah & I are going to the town of nuns to eat a Gurker. Hopefully we will be back at a reasonable time when we will crack open the red wine and let the blood drain from our toes.

  2. It sounds as though you had a lovely afternoon šŸ™‚ We went for a lovely wander through Jephson gardens via WHSmith for magazines, Aubrey Allen for ethical sausages for Rich, and a cuppa at the Fat Birds. Then flumping, nice dinner and cinema. What Saturday afternoons are for šŸ™‚
