Wedding #1: Ettington Park Hotel

The first of the weddings I attended for the wedding weekend extravaganza was that of Dapper’s cousin Lucy and her now hubby, Richard. The venue was the stunning Ettington Park hotel, which includes it’s own delightful chapel in the church’s demi-ruins. Which makes it a fun location for posing around pillars…

It truly is a sensational venue, furnished with antiques (there was armour. And dresses, And weaponry. And a gothic library…) and set in 40 acres of stuning grounds. Plus, wedding parties have the bonus of enjoying the whole venue entirely to themselves, as the park is closed off for such occasions. For an intimate wedding I can’t think of a more dramatic backdrop.

  1. We looked at this place! It is absolutely gorgeous, I adored it – and I thought it would have been wonderful for a winter wedding – so dramatic and mysterious. Parents were unconvinced unfortunately 😦
